Best Studio Monitors – KRK Rokit 5 Review

Available on Amazon at 50% off here

krk rokit 5The new look of the KRK Rokit 5 generation 2, makes it sound better, and in a wider “sweet spot.” I have these beauties myself and I couldn’t leave them out as in my opinion they are the best studio monitors. The superior design of the G2 includes front-firing ports, which are just the right shape and taper to reduce port turbulence.

Traditional rectangular speakers suffer from diffraction as sounds leaving the edge of the cabinet are reflected back into the original sound field, and at different time intervals. This creates a “narrow” or boxy” sound. To eliminate this issue, we designed a radically engineered curved surfaces. Simply put, you’ll get better sound in a wider area.

If you want compact monitors with a big, natural sound, these do the job.
The main character of KRK is warmth and dynamics.

Here are some great features of the KRK Rokit 5:

The sound quality is really very good, especially when you consider the cost. These speakers are very flat and accurate. No more mixing, burning to a disc, running to the car to listen and see if it sounded okay.  If it sounds good on these, then it almost always sounds good on any audio system.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the KRK Rokit 5:

There is nothing better than these in the monitor category at this price point, period. They are designed for one thing: to provide an accurate, unbiased, uncolored representation of your mix, when listening up close. They do that phenomenally. Don’t tell KRK but I would have been satisfied with these had I paid twice as much. (Anthony)
